Craft fair

 

This was my second craft fair of the year.  Not as large of a space, but enough room for me to sew & have my tee shirt quilt on display.

I was able to make some more cat kick sticks and cat toys.

Potholders

I have been making some more potholders for my craft fairs, so I have a good variety.

 

 I found these cute you rule SVGS and thought they would make a nice potholder gift set, since many people that buy them, buy them as teacher gifts.

 I found some very awesome coffee SVGs, so of course I tried a few of them.

 And then the ever popular Thanks for making me one smart cookie.

This time when I did them, I used my easy press mini, and it was SO much easier than using my iron had been!!

November 9th - Craft fair

I am SO excited to be a part of this craft fair this year, I found out about it last year!  And made sure I applied this year!

My mother in law and I had a craft fair last weekend, and here is our set up (we had two spaces)

I feel like we're getting to the point where we can get it set up well, fairly easy.

And I had electricity, so I was able to work on a few things!! I finished 5 microwave cozies while I was there! (it's also a good conversation starter)

Falloween - first craft fair of the season

I am excited for my first craft fair this weekend! I have been preparing for craft fair season all year!  I did not make my goal of 10 microwave bowl cozies each month, but I did make quite a few.

I also used my cricut to out/make new price tents, that I hope will look good.

I also made a bunch of new pot holders!

Here's to a successful weekend (it's 3 days). I will share pictures once I get my set up done!

Busy busy

I have been real busy lately, between school and family stuff, I have barely had time to sew :(

Here is a set up from my craft fair today.  I really like having my tee-shirt quilt displayed like that, it definitely drew a lot of people in!

I have had a little time to play with my cricut and I made these potholders which make great teacher gifts!

Craft show

 

This was the first craft show I have done on my own.  I definitely prefer to do them with someone else!  I did ok.  Not great.  

 

Of course as you noticed, most of my table runners are my halloween ones :/ life has been too busy and I haven't had too much time to sew.

I also made some cat toys, and those sold pretty well.

Sewing weekend

My best friend & I have known each other since we were 4.  In high school we both took sewing, and were bit by the bug.  In high school we used to get together at one of our houses and have sewing parties.  Even in college we would get together and sew.  

It's been a little more difficult since we've "grown up" and moved apart.  But we have still made time to sew together.  We visit her at Thanksgiving, and quite a bit of that weekend usually involves sewing.

Well that weekend wasn't enough for us.  So I started going to visit her during my fall break.  I got a lot done this year!

This was something I started to use up some of my 2.5" squares.  I saw a quilt like this on facebook and ran with it.  It went together fairly easy. The inside blocks were 4.5"x 8.5".

We stayed in a hotel room, which was nice for laying things out.  Here is her Allitare quilt by Bonnie Hunter.  And my scrappy rail fence.

I also started this quilt.  I got the heart all pieced, and now I need to finish the other rows.

She finished this Christmas top.  I love how it looks and how quickly it went together!

I also made some microwave bowls for an upcoming craft fair.  They sold pretty well at the first craft fair I had them at.  The black one is the "standard" size I have been making.  The white one below it was actually an accident.  I cut the batting too big, so I just used a larger piece of fabric, and voila! a bigger size, which is something people asked for.

My mother in law had talked about how she wanted one of those microwave bowl holders.  So after I made her some for Christmas I also started making some to sell at craft shows.

Here are five of them sewn together ready to be turned right side out.  I found the pattern on craftsy.  It is a very easy pattern to follow and quick.

Passport holder

I've been doing swaps on instagram, and although I have been only trying to sign up for mini quilt swaps there have been a few that I had to sign up for!  This was a fun little thing to make up.  I made a few to try to sell at the craft fair this year.
