S family memory Quilt 1 part 2
We have most of the strips for B's memory quilt from her dad's clothes cut, so we started laying them out on the wall.
This is the fun part. And it definitely comes together quickly at this point! it's just long sewing.
Most of the pieces fit on my design wall, which helped with putting it together and making sure everything was in the right spot and to make sure nothing that was similar was next to each other.

Eq8
On EQ's blog they are running a contest. Using the Coco Chic fabric line, design a quilt. This is what I came up with. I like the strips and solid blocks.
One of the best things about EQ8 is how easy it is to audition different fabrics. Here is another shot of the same quilt, with one fabric changed.
Here is a third shot of the quilt, with a slightly different design. Instead of using cream blocks, I added some star blocks.

Round robin 2021
I LOVE round robins. I love swaps, I love getting to know other quilters.
Someone that was in my Round robin 2020 group was running her own, so I of course wanted to join!
Here is the block:
This quilt will actually be for my friend, Becca after she graduates college. She picked out the design, then picked out all the fabric.
It's always interesting to me to see what fabrics and such other people pick. Becca has a good eye for color.
The pattern is from http://627handworks.com/
I enjoy paper piecing! And love how the hexagons look.
For this round robin we also had to include some fabric so our swap partners can use some of it in each of the rounds! I am excited to see how this ends up turning out, and what blocks I will get!

Calendar
I have seen this calendar floating around in a few groups I am in, both for exercising and quilting. I am going to use it for quilting :)
I will color in each day that I color. So far this year I have sewn every single day! I know this will not always be the case, but so far I am happy with it! I have a lot to share!

Instagram swap
I love doing swaps on Instagram I meet such interesting people, and get to try out many quilting techniques with making
I did this swap last year, and someone else made these kitties. And I decided I would make them this year. I was kind of disappointed there weren't more kitties.
Here is the top I made all finished.
Here is the mini quilt that I received!

Pokémon Quilt done
Here is the pokémon quilt all quilted!!!
I used some flannel on the back. For the binding I used the same colors from the front.
I am so pleased with how this quilt turned out. I wasn't sure how much I would like it, because of the random colors, but I am very happy with it!
This quilt design is by Carolyn Friedlander, it's called Ray. In essence it's a really big log cabin quilt. She has a "coloring" page you can use to keep track of what you want it to look like, and all the measurements! Definitely check it out if you are looking for a quick & easy quilt to make!
