Bow ties
For part of winter break we went to Tennesee to see my friend Christine. I decided to bring along her teal bowties so she could see how they are coming along.
She's very happy with them!! There are 106 currently! Considering I only started these in May, they're coming along a lot faster than my bow tie quilt did!

Wristlets
You could definitely say this was a "Dog under my desk" Christmas!
I bought her wristlet pattern and decided a few female members of my family would receive these.
I chose to use the boxed version. And since these were my first ones, I didn't add an interior pocket.
My cricut also helped. I used it to cut out the fabric. And then used it to cut out vinyl with
I LOVE how these turned out, and will definitely be making a lot more!
Here are the three I put initials on.

Ornaments & circle zip pouches
For my nieces & nephews this year, I thought I would make them gifts. So I made them Christmas ornaments with something they like and their favorite color, and circle zip pouches.
Here is a close up of one of the zip pouches. Some of the kids got the same design, so I put their initials on the backside. I used glow in the dark vinyl.
Here are most of the zip pouches I made. I think I have posted about it before, but the pattern for the circle pouch is from Dog Under my Desk. If you make anything with zippers, or want to learn how she writes some of the best patterns!!
And here are the ornaments I made. I used disc ornaments from Michaels, polycrylic on the inside then glitter. Then I used my cricut to cut out the designs.
I made some ornaments last year that were NOT the flat discs. I definitely liked putting the designs on these better!

Casting Cats mini
I cannot believe I forgot to share my finished picture!!! I finished the mini. I am not going to lie, it was difficult to give away!
Although the mini I received in return made it a little easier ;)

AccuQuilt go big - first cuts!
Here are some of the first things I cut on my accuquilt go big!
I bought these fabrics as remnants at JoAnns
Here is the first pass with the fabric
I loved all the pattern ideas.
And here are the blocks up on my design wall. I LOVE how quickly the blocks were cut, and how easily they came together.

New website - new name!
As I have been trying to make a "brand" for myself, I have been trying to decide on a name. I LOVE sewcute, but there are so many sewcutes out there, and then sewgreenm was ok, but there is a sewgreen. I wanted something unique.
So I have changed my business name from Sewcute's Creations to Quilted goods n more. I feel like this covers what I do with sewing and quilting, but also the other things I do.
I did change my blog name from sewgreenm.blogspot.com to quiltedgoodsnmore.blogspot.com

Beer Quilt - SO close!
Over winter break (from school) I was able to go to the group of crocheters and knitters that meet at the library near me!! It was so nice to be with "my people" and be able to work with everyone. I took Scott's beer quilt. I had one border to add (I didn't take enough fabric to Tennesee over break), and the back to sew. Since I added a little fabric for the border I needed to add some more to the back.
Here is the whole quilt laid out.
And then after finishing it at the library, I went home and put it on my long arm! I really wanted to get it finished for my husband before he came home!
BUT. . .as I was sewing I heard a noise. . .
The motor belt broke :( Luckily it's not super expensive, so we ordered a new one, so hopefully I can get the beer quilt done soon!

Design wall Monday
Sorry for my absence over the past few weeks. With Christmas coming up, I was so busy crafting (not just sewing!) that I didn't have time to post, but now I will have plenty of posts coming up!
I started this a few years ago, for the rainbow scrap challenge. I want to get it done! Looks like I only need to make two more blocks. Maybe a yellow and an orange?
